The posted toilet install price

The toilet install price is $200 labor. That is the number. It includes setting the new toilet on the flange, sealing it with a new wax ring, connecting the supply line, and testing the flush. If the old toilet is still there, I pull it and haul it off if you want. If the flange is broken, that is a separate repair and I will tell you before I touch it.

The toilet itself is not in that labor number. You can buy the toilet at cost through me. I do not mark up parts. You pay what the supply house charges me, and you see that receipt. Or you buy the toilet yourself from wherever you want. I will set a toilet you bought at a box store the same as one I picked up. The labor does not change.

This is the flagship posted price for a reason. A toilet swap is one of the most common calls, and it is one of the easiest jobs for a plumbing company to bury a fat margin in. Some shops will not tell you the labor number until they see your house. I am telling you before you call. $200 labor, set, seal, supply line, test.

Toilet repair, posted and plain

A running toilet, a leaking toilet, or a weak flush is $150 labor, posted. That is the labor to diagnose the problem and replace the usual culprit. Flapper, fill valve, flush handle, or tank hardware. The part is at cost. If the part is a five dollar flapper, you pay five dollars for it. If it is a fill valve that costs eighteen dollars, you pay eighteen dollars.

I call that repair price provisional. That means it is the posted labor for the common fix. If I open the tank and find something unusual, I will stop and tell you what it is and what the labor would be before I do anything else. You are never stuck with a surprise bill because I guessed wrong. The $150 is what most running and leaking toilet calls come down to.

A weak flush is often the same kind of fix. The flapper closes early, or the fill valve is not letting enough water into the tank, or the rim jets under the bowl are clogged. I check the simple stuff first. If the toilet is old and the porcelain is scaled up inside, sometimes the honest answer is a new toilet, not a repair. I will tell you that straight.

What the drive actually costs you

Add the jobs you want to your list, then reserve the visit by paying the drive as a deposit. That deposit comes off the final bill. Mileage is an estimate of the drive to you and is confirmed when you book. Parts are not included in the drive number.

Pull and reset, wax ring, flooring work

A toilet pull and reset is $175 labor, posted. That is for when the toilet needs to come up and go back down on a new wax ring. The most common reason is a bad wax ring. You see water at the base, or you smell sewer gas, or the toilet rocks. I pull the toilet, scrape the old wax, set a new ring, and reset the toilet.

Flooring contractors call for this too. They are putting down tile or vinyl and the toilet is in the way. They do not want to touch plumbing, and they should not. I pull the toilet, set it aside, and come back after the floor is done to reset it. The $175 labor covers the pull and reset. The wax ring is at cost.

This is also a provisional price. If the flange is cracked or the bolts are rusted out, that is extra work and I will say so before I do it. But for a straight pull, clean the flange, new wax ring, and reset, $175 is the labor. You know that before I show up.

Bidet and smart seat installs

A bidet seat or smart seat install is $175 labor, posted. That includes adding a supply tee off the toilet shutoff valve, mounting the seat, and testing it. The tee and any needed supply line are parts at cost. If you already bought the seat, that is fine. If you want me to order it at cost, that is fine too.

Bidet seats have gotten popular, and they are not hard to install if you know what you are doing. The part people get nervous about is tapping into the water supply. A tee goes on the fill valve under the tank, one branch feeds the toilet, the other feeds the bidet seat. If your shutoff valve is old and will not close all the way, that is a separate repair and I will tell you.

Smart seats with heated water and a remote are the same labor. The seat mounts on the bowl, the tee feeds it, and you plug it in. If there is no outlet near the toilet, I do not run electrical. You need an electrician for that. But the plumbing side is $175 labor, posted.

Toilet pull and clear

A toilet pull and clear is $200 labor, posted. That is when the toilet itself is not the clog. The clog is in the line below the flange, or something got flushed that should not have been. I pull the toilet, run a closet auger or a cable down the line, clear it, and reset the toilet with a new wax ring.

This is different from a plunger call. If a plunger fixes it, you do not need me. If the toilet flushes weak and the bowl fills up, and a plunger does not do it, the problem is usually in the trap or just past it. Pulling the toilet gives me a straight shot at the line. The $200 labor covers the pull, clearing the line, and the reset.

The wax ring is at cost. If the toilet is old and the bolts snap when I pull it, that is extra work and I will tell you before I touch it. But the posted labor is $200 for the pull, clear, and reset. No hidden trip charge on top of it. The drive is separate and you see it before you book.

Urinal install or repair

A urinal install or repair is $250 labor, posted. That is for a residential urinal in a garage or shop, or a light commercial urinal in a small office or warehouse. The labor covers setting a new urinal or repairing the flush valve, trap, or supply on an existing one. Parts are at cost.

Urinals are not as common as toilets, but the work is similar. The flush valve is the usual repair. It either runs constantly or will not flush at all. Sometimes the trap is clogged with mineral buildup. I can install a new urinal if you have one, or order one at cost. The $250 labor is provisional, same as the other repair prices.

If the urinal is in a commercial building, I need access to the water shutoff for that restroom. If the shutoff is in a locked mechanical room, you need to have it open. I do not do big commercial restroom buildouts. This is a one man operation, and a urinal swap or repair is the kind of job I can do clean and fast.

Most plumbing companies hide the trip charge inside the labor or add a dispatch fee at the end. I do not do that. The drive is a separate line item, and it is the same for every job. A toilet install in Salado is $200 labor plus about $48 round trip drive. That is $248 before parts. A toilet repair in Temple is $150 labor plus about $58 round trip drive, so $208 before parts. You can do that math yourself.

The drive fee is also the deposit. When you add your jobs to the cart on the homepage, you see the running total. You pay the drive fee to reserve the visit, and that deposit comes off the final bill. If you are in Georgetown, the drive is about $90 round trip. In Austin, about $140 round trip. The farther out you are, the more the drive costs, and that is fair. You know it before I roll.
