What it usually is
Check the bulbs first. If new bulbs do not help, the pull chain, the switch inside the fan or the light kit connection may have failed.
What to do first
Turn the fan and light off at the wall, let bulbs cool, and try new bulbs. If the problem remains, we can diagnose it or replace the fan.
The flat rate that covers it
- Electrical troubleshooting: $79
- Ceiling fan install (your fan, existing box): $199
- Light fixture replacement (your fixture): $149
Kent is a valley city with a mix of older neighborhoods, newer hillside developments and a big warehouse district. Kent has everything from mid-century homes on the valley floor to newer houses on the hill, so we look at the age of the plumbing before we guess at the cause.
