Hot water runs out fast | What it is and what it costs

What it usually is

A tank that gives only a short hot shower may have a failed lower element, a broken dip tube or lots of sediment. Age matters, and an old tank may not be worth the repair.

What to do first

Check the age on the tank label and note how long the hot water lasts. Send us a photo of the label.

The price that covers it
