What it usually is
Common causes are dead batteries, a tripped breaker or safety switch on the furnace or air handler, or a blown low-voltage connection. A new smart thermostat is a flat rate when you supply it.
What to do first
Replace batteries if yours uses them, check the breaker for the heating system, and make sure the furnace door or panel is fully closed. Do not touch wires at the furnace.
The flat rate that covers it
- Smart thermostat / video doorbell install: $129
- Electrical troubleshooting: $79
DuPont is a planned, mostly newer community in Pierce County south of Lakewood, with newer homes and townhomes. Newer DuPont homes usually have modern plumbing and wiring, so most calls are for fixtures, water heaters and small electrical jobs.
