About garbage disposal in Tacoma

Tacoma is a port city with older Victorian and Craftsman neighborhoods, plus waterfront and industrial areas.

In Tacoma older kitchens, the sink drain and trap are often original, so a disposal swap is a good moment to check for leaks and wear.

Many disposals fail because of a jam, a worn motor or a leak at the housing. If a jam is all that is wrong, we can often free it. If it is time to replace, the $249 price applies.

Tacoma's older neighborhoods have homes from a long span of eras, so the first thing we look at is what pipe is actually behind the wall.

What happens on the job

Remove the old disposal and clean the mounting area
Install your new unit with the existing electrical connection and drain
Check the dishwasher drain connection if there is one
