About garbage disposal in Lakewood

Lakewood is a Pierce County city of mostly mid-century single-family homes, with lakes and wooded lots throughout.

Kitchens in Lakewood homes from the middle of the last century often got a disposal added later, so the wiring and drain connections can be a little unusual. We check before we start.

A $79 diagnosis visit is credited toward the job when we do the work, so checking whether yours is repairable costs nothing extra if you go ahead.

Lakewood's tree-covered lots give roots plenty of chances to find an older sewer line, and ramblers there often have only one cleanout.

What happens on the job

Remove the old disposal and clean the mounting area
Install your new unit with the existing electrical connection and drain
Check the dishwasher drain connection if there is one
Run water and test the unit for leaks and noise
